You didn't do anything wrong and the package has been correctly uploaded
to the server and incorporated into the setup.ini file. Depending on
which mirror you look at it'll take a while before it's available.

That's for an entirely unrelated upload. You get all such emails, not
just for those packages that you maintain.

No, that wouldn't even begin to work. If you maintain multiple
packages, you need to make multiple sub-directories for each under
.../release and put them there, along with their setup.hint files.
