Bash operator << broken in 17.1

Make sure you have a /tmp directory. You can either create one directly
(mkdir /tmp), or you can mount a temp directory from another drive. In my
case, I've mounted my /tmp from drive D: (mount d:/tmp /tmp). Either
approach will fix the problem.
