Raw device ?

I'm using b18, and I can't tar directly to my diskette :

[rafael] /Home/Rafael >tar cf /dev/fd0 DOMICILE.DOC
tar: Cannot open /dev/fd0: No such file or directory

Anyone know what's wrong? I got the command line from the FAQ (How can I access other drives?)
