Tired of: strlen on a NULL

I subscribed to this list to hear discussions about Cygwin products,
NOT C/C++ flame wars. There are perfectly good news groups
for such things, this is not the best choice. Can this strlen(NULL)
discussion be moved elsewhere more appropriate? You may even
get a better discussion out of it.
