When using CYGWIN its path should be listed first. Also you'll want to remove
the /c/mks/mksnt path.

Finding cpp isn't a good thing either. I'll also suggest remove the
/users/alker/bin directory from PATH.
Resolving these problems may not help your problem; but, you'll be happier with
the results.
