Andy Piper's /usr/local distribution was a great help when I first
installed cygwin, back in b19 days. However, since ".libs and .o's are
not compatible" with the latest snapshots, I couldn't use his distro
once I upgraded my cygwin installation. So, here's the result:

location:
  http://cygutils.netpedia.net/

What:
Lots of libraries and executables compiled using gcc-2.95.2 for cygwin
snapshots -- I was using 19991124 at time of compilation. These are
available as one big bundle or each piece individually. Source code is
also available for each package, along with patches and build
instructions.

     cwilson-usrlocal-cygwin-pre21.tar.bz2
          Bzip2 file is 8.8MB (35.1 MB uncompressed)
     cwilson-usrlocal-cygwin-pre21.lslar
          The 'ls -laR' listing: 233kB

Packages included:

     autoconf-2.13
     automake-1.4
     bzip2-0.9.5d
     cvs-1.10
     freetype-1.3
     gdbm-1.8.0
     gettext-0.10.35
     groff-1.11.1
inetutils-1.3.2 (telnetd, inetd, etc. From Sergey Okhapkin's
patches)
     jbig-1.0
     jpeg-6b
     libcrypt (Andy Piper's MD5-based version)
     libpng-1.0.5
     login (Corinna Vinschen's ntsec-enabled version)
     man-1.5g
     ncurses-5.0 (includes terminfo database)
     readline-4.0
     rxvt-2.6.1 (depends on Suhaib Sidiqqi's X11 distro)

     tiff-v3.5.2
     unzip-5.32

xpm-3.4k (includes two libXpm's: one is not dependent on X)
     zip-2.2
     zlib-1.1.3

Enjoy!
