changing default colors

add the following env var to your .bashrc profile and change the values

LS_COLORS="*.c=32:*.h=32:*.o=1;32:*.txt=1:*~=35:*.zip=1;31:*.z=1;31:*.Z=1;31:*.gz=1;31:*.bz2=1;31:*.tgz=1;31:*.tar=31"

as simple as can be.
