B19.1? That's pretty old by now. I'm assuming you have your reasons.

The stock b19.1 compiler had a quite buggy C++ front-end, so you should
pick up my egcs-1.1 distribution for it. It's the last egcs compiler 
distribution I did for b19, so no egcs-1.1.1 and newer.
