cygwin - X11

Hi all,

This is a question about XWindows and Cygwin.
I am able to open an xterm, but don't seem to be able to edit the
command line. Also if I try to run Vim, the xterm hangs and I have to
kill it.
If I try to run vim -g for the gui version which I would like to be
able to, it opens a window then dies.

I'd appreciate any help with this. I build Vim with no errors.
