joe- or any editor !!!!

hi everyone,

I have just tried to compile joe( i admit that the only sources i could
find were from sunfreeware com ) but it didn't work, a problem with a
dir() function.  Then i read the porting info, and it said that joe
compiled for b16, is there any descent editor( like joe - not vi please
) available for cygwin.
