uninstalling cygwin

If it's fully installed, it should show up in add/remove; however, removing 
it in the menu doesn't delete the installed directory structure.  That's easy 
enough to do separately.  I don't imagine this has been a problem for anyone, 
as I haven't seen it discussed.
