id.exe crashes when using ssh (since 1.1.6?)

That other SSH package is the commercial client I had to spring for before
getting a stable OpenSSH. It's Win32 only (windowed), has no daemon and no
command line tools (except for a rather kludgy scp that I never install).
They do have an SSH 4.0 server for Win32 now, though, but I'd rather use
cygwin.

As to your suggestions, no, I haven't run sshd -d (there is no reliable way
to run it as a service yet, so I always run it as sshd -i from inetd), and
running an strace on it doesn't seem to be of much use, since the
application crashing is id.exe (says so on the "Application Error" dialog
box I get, anyway...)

What should I look for within strace? the actual invocation of /bin/id?

R.
