[perl-5.6.1-1] problems building perl

Hi cygwinners, hi perlser,
is it like it seems to me, that i need an installed perl-version, to build
this perl from source?
These are the first lines of my make-log:
make: Wechsel in das Verzeichnis Verzeichnis »/src/perl«
