tty problems

I'm using a non-Cygwin executable that outputs to stdout but I never see the
output when I'm using rxvt-2.7.2-win32.  My CYGWIN='binmode export ntea tty'.
Is there a way for stdout to coexist between Cygwin and non-Cygwin apps?
