bug: rmdir for a SAMBA directory

My platform is NT4.0.
The rmdir system call returns 0 when it tries to remove a non-empty directory i a SAMBA drive (mapped from a Linux server). It looks like Windows NT's _rmdir returns 0, too. In other words, it is a bug of NT, but will it be better to check whether the directory is really be removed?

Regards,
Tom
