Building slang with current version

Hello List:

Has anyone built slang with curses support using the current version of
Cygwin?  The Slang download package doesn't included the curses bits.  I found
a link to someone building slang with curses against an older version, but
haven't found anything current.

I'd appreciate any experience that anyone may have with this.
