passwd.exe trouble

That can't work. You have simply changed the name of Administrator
in /etc/passwd to your own name. Call `mkpasswd' for getting a
correct /etc/passwd. If you want to use another name for an account,
use the CYGWIN setting `ntsec' and read the documentation about it.
