Execute "strace" on an executable in GNU make?

Dunno.  Sorry.  I suspect that you are probably not running the program
that you think you're running.  Maybe specifying the full path in the
makefile would help.

Apologies if you've tried that.  I don't remember.  That is all that
I can think of.
