Illegal operation trying to install Cygwin on Win 95

Hi, folks!

I expirienced problem to install Cygwin on Win 95 (3.16GB free disk space). 
I successfully download it and start setup. After clicking Next in the 
dialog, where you "select install root directory" (I used default), I got 
message about "program has performed illegal operation".This is 
details:SETUP caused an invalid page fault in
module SETUP.EXE at 0137:0040256c.
