stderr in a DLL

[C. Throne]

Does anyone know how to successfully access stderr inside of DLL code. My 
DLL and executable, compile and link error free, but when stderr is accessed 
from any function within the DLL I get a segmentation fault. Any help would 
be greatly appreciated.
