I need to create a stable snapshot - can you recommend a tag?

When you refer to "Cygwin 1.3.2", is it the case that you are not referring
to the additional packages? If so, then just telling people to install
"1.3.2", or the latest "release" isn't enough of a process for people to
make sure they get the same thing every time they install it. What Frank
wants (and me too) is a definite process for setting up a "saved"
installation of Cygwin, perhaps in a "preinstall" format, so a set of users
can be reasonably guaranteed of having the same thing. As you state, I'm
not worried about "stability" (like Windows 98 is "stable" :) ), but just
making sure all of my users have the same functionality.

The source and binary for Cygwin version 1.3.2 won't be changing. It's
as stable as its going to get.

<soapbox>
Before someone comments, there is no version of Cygwin which has "stable"
*functionality.* There is no software product anywhere which has "stable"
functionality. "Stable" in terms of functionality is subjective. That
which is adequate for one user is not for another (because of some bug
or lacking feature). Folks looking for this kind of stability need to
make this determination for themselves.
