The name of the directory in the make sources is make-3.79.1-3 or
make-3.79.1-2.  If that is not an adequate hint about the patch level of
sources that you are working on, then I'm not sure how things could be
made clearer.

Maybe we can stop talking about this now?  The bug has been tracked down
and eliminated by a valiant net contributor.  I've released a new version
of make.  Let's move on.
