How Do I Send Mail From Command Line

Corinna,
I understand you feelings for Mutt. I myself have a similar response when
folks in our organization try to get me to use MS-Word instead of VI. I am
not trying to start a holy war over Mutt vs some other tool. I just want to
see if I can find a mailx implementation so I can tinker with scripts on my
PC and then move them to our larger UNIX environments where mailx is
supported.

What's the problem? mutt has a wonderful user interface including
a command line interface similar to mailx AND *gasp* a man page!
