rxvt locking up my java-app?

hi,

i'm using cygwin to develop Java-apps. therefor i use the win32 native 
JDK 1.4 by Sun.

when my Java-App produces much output and i try to resize the 
rxvt-window, rxvt and my java-app lock up each other!

after i kill rxvt or the java-app the other process runs again.

any ideas?
