can't start windows apps from romote login via ssh

That is probably because the sshd service is not allowed to interact with
the desktop.

Go to Services and checkmark the option.... (not generally recommended as
it may bring your system down in odd occations...

Hi,

When i ssh to my cygwin(WinXP) and try to start a windows programm (e.g.
notepad) with or without cygstart the programm seems to be startet in the
Task-Manager but no window does appear.
