Hello,
on my new XP home the windows shortcut format seems to have changed. (It worked well with NT 4).
Cygwin created shortcuts are approx. 150 bytes large, windows
shortcuts 600 bytes. Unfortunately they don't recognise each other properly.
$ ls -ln *home*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 1005 513 92 Jul 26 02:20 home -> /home
-rwx------ 1 1005 513 353 Jul 26 02:21 whome.lnk
---
I have tried to modify attributes and cacls etc, but this didn't change the
behavior.
---
$ ls -l win*
-rwxrwxrwx 1 erik Kein 618 Jul 25 23:18 win.lnk
lrwxrwxrwx 1 erik Kein 144 Jul 25 23:47 winc1.lnk -> /c/WINDOWS/system32/dr
lrwxrwxrwx 1 erik Kein 144 Jul 25 23:22 wincyg.lnk -> /c/WINDOWS/system32/d
$ echo $CYGWIN
ntsec tty notitle glob
---
I will try to attach the whome.lnk as .txt.
Best,
Erik
