Useful Cygwinism: "Explorer Here"

Well, you asked for it! ;-)

If you enter a line like:

Control-e: "cygstart .\C-M"

into your $HOME/.inputrc file (which may or may not already exist), that 
will bind CTRL-e to automatically type "cygstart .<Return>" whenever you 
hit it.  Take a look at the readline manpage for more info on 
that.  .inputrc is a fun file :-)
