Backspacing causes Xwin to hang up.

When I launch a Xwin using startwin.bat, get this
prompt:
 
'bash-2.05a$'

then I type some command

'bash-2.05a$xtartwn'

when I use backspace go back to fix my typo, the Xterm
hangs up when the cursor get past the first character

'bash-2.05a$'
