porting problem

OK, I understand your goal now.  You're looking for porting help then.  This 
list is for issues and questions regarding Cygwin.  I'm not sure where I would 
direct you for porting help.  But I can say that just because one compiler 
compiles the code you have doesn't mean the code is valid.  I'd recommend you 
start by examining the code.  

However, I have to say that this is off-topic for this list unless you can 
show how using gcc in the Cygwin environment is the cause of the difficulties 
you're having.
