Cygwin and beginners to Unix (was Re: Window immediately disappears)

Even if this "Beginner's Guide" is not to your liking, take a look at the
"Other Resources" at the bottom. 

(Yes, I hope to someday integrate something like this into the real Cygwin
documentation. Maybe as a "tutorial".)
