killing ssh.exe trashes console

hi,

i had to kill ssh.exe cause it didn't react anymore. after doing that, 
the console what somehow unusable: i could not see what i was writing, 
and the bash-prompt is moving right with each new line.

i also executed reset in order to reset the console, but it didn't work.

it happens with RXVT as well as the native cygwin-console.
