Anonymous ftp - ls hangs

Yes and yes. Sorry I didn't mention that before:

$ cd ~ftp/bin
$ ll .
total 1018
dr-xr-xr-x    1 ccadmin  Domain U        0 Dec  5 11:06 ./
dr-xr-xr-x    1 ccadmin  Domain U    12288 Dec  5 12:04 ../
-r-xr-xr-x    1 ccadmin  Domain U   970082 Dec  5 11:06 cygwin1.dll*
-r-xr-xr-x    1 ccadmin  Domain U    71680 Dec  5 11:06 ls.exe*

Note I've tried various owners and perm bit settings. This is where I 
left them.
