Globally redirecting output elsewhere than /tmp/

'/tmp' is the UNIX 'Recycle Bin'. Some programs may have hard-coded '/tmp' and
some may use TMP or TMPDIR...

Well, `mount' should give you what you want here. Just

  mount H:\\temp /tmp

do that before starting Cygwin.
