Synonyms: profane, blasphemous, sacrilegious. These adjectives mean 
showing or marked by irreverence or contempt for what is sacred. 
Profane implies abusive disrespect: “Keep that which is committed to 
thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings” (I Timothy 6:20).
