hi there folks, i was hoping you could give me a hand.

after the default installation i had no passwd file and was getting
errors. i ran 'mkpasswd -l > passwd' as i saw it on a website (looking
for people with similar troubles)

and at least i have an /etc/passwd file now.

i still have a bunch of errors running ssh-host-config -y
i hope you can give me some idea's of what i'm doing wrong.

namely:

[Melchior@magi]~:{35}:$ ssh-host-config -y
chown: `system.system': invalid group

Privilege separation is set to yes by default since OpenSSH 3.3.
However, this requires a non-privileged account called 'sshd'.
For more info on privilege separation read
/usr/doc/openssh/README.privsep.

Do you want to install sshd as service?

Which value should the environment variable CYGWIN have when
sshd starts? It's recommended to set at least "ntsec" to be
able to change user context without password.
Default is "binmode ntsec tty". CYGWIN=tty
cygrunsrv: Error installing a service: OpenService: Win32 error 1073:
The specified service already exists.

Host configuration finished. Have fun!
