Igor,

I realized cat.exe versus cat wasn't guaranteed, and in fact 
grep/egrep/fgrep was exactly what I was thinking of when I 
suggested the declining usefulness of the package search if 
a search for "cat" was returning 197 hits.

I read your earlier message, but missed the bin/program suggestion
because of the ""bin/prog"" portion, which apparently
kicked me over the edge into scan mode (I remembered the "more has 
been around for a while" note, though...).
