cygpath hangings: A fix - bash patch enclosed -- bash maintainer please note!

I tried the posted simple shell script with the old and new bash.exe. Worked
exactly as you predicted...

Hung with the old, didn't hang (i.e. worked) with the new.

cygcheck output attached for reference.
