latest cygcheck -c is expensive

A 1200 mhz athelon with just about all the cygwin stuff (some x 
omited ) I got to a non full screen session:

gzip: stdout: Bad file descriptor

Not sure why the gzip message

Shut down my etrust av program and ran full screen
