symlink extension shown using 1.5.3

Just noticed there is a difference between 'ls -l simulator' and 'ls -l
simulator.lnk'. The former actually shows only 'simulator', not 'simulator.lnk'
as 'ls -l' does.
So here is the strace of 'ls -l simulator.lnk'
