invalid mounts after inst of cygwin1.5.10.3

It looks like the registry values of the mounts contain a backslash
followed by a forward slash. I have no idea where that comes from nor
why it affects 5.10.3 differently.
Perhaps you could reissue the mount commands, using the -f flag to overwrite
the existing values.
