problem with strtoimax?

No patch necessary (PEBCAK). strtoimax is in inttypes.h, but strtoll
is in stdlib.h. Compiling with -Wall would have shown my stupidity.
(Hint - implicit prototypes return int, but strtoll really needs to return
long long.)
