[Fwd: cygcheck.out - setup failed]

1. Default installation hung at 98%.

2. Attempted reinstall

3. Hung again

4. removed the cygwin directory tried again

5. hung again

6. regedit used to remove software/cygwin

7. hung again


Seems like allways at:
/etc/postinstall/update-info-dir.sh

8. Checked FAQs and archive
but did not see a match for my problem

9. Noted suggestion for cygcheck in archive 
for another problem

10. Ran cygcheck;  ouput below.

11. cywin.bat does not appear in the cygwin dir

12. No icon on desktop

13. Noted msg in cygcheck.out about multiple
cygwin1.dll in path. Did a MS Search for that
entry and only found the one in cygwin dir.

14. I had installed Boinc( setiathome )?
    Could that be a source of conflict ?

15. How do I backout or finish the install?
