does rxvt support cut and paste?

  No, that's not "standard windows conventions"!  The 'doze conventions are
Ctrl+X/C/V for cut/copy/paste.

  Shift+Ins/Del is the *MS-DOS* convention, as seen in such classic and
historical programs as 'ed'.....
