libxml2-devel-2.16.2: missing static archive

The current libxml2-devel package contains:
/usr/lib/libxml2.la
/usr/lib/libxml2.dll.a

There is no /usr/lib/libxml2.a
This leads to unsatisfied references when linking with -static.

Comparing this situation with other libraries, I think this
is a deviation from the standard packaging that I hope will
be fixed.
