sed doesnt convert varibale values???

ok, This tells me that APP_SERVER_DOMAIN is getting expanded and  
probably contains some characters that are messing up the sed  
expression.  What is $APP_SERVER_DOMAIN set to.   Just send "echo  
sed ...."
