Simple find command does not work for * .html

For some reason the following find command will not complete for *.html.

It says: find: paths must precede expression....


however, all of the other ones work.



I searched on google and all I came up with was this.

If you search for "paths must" you will find another user who ran into a 
similar problem



`find d:\ -type f -perm -u+w -name *.properties`

`find d:\ -type f -perm -u+w -name *.html`

for FILE in `find d:\ -type f -perm -u+w -name *.unittest`

for FILE in `find $d:\ -type f -perm -u+w -name *.java`

for FILE in `find ${ORIGINAL_DRIVE}${COPY_FOLDER} -type f -perm -u+w -name 
*.jsp`
