Problem with mined 2000.12-1

I have tried to start 'mined' from Cygwin.bat, from
Cygwin.bat+startx&+xterm and from RXVT without that anything happens, i.e.

  $ mined &
  [2] 1780
  [2]+  Exit 128                mined
