emacs trouble

Thank you. The problem seems to be in the keyboard
interpretation by emacs. Now I'm able to exit emacs,
but I can't mark a block of text, as an example,
because C-spc works simply as 'space'. I can use emacs
for win on the same files, but it's not the same thing.
