Can't execute shell script as wish subprocess, exes work

As I said, my PATH _does_ include that directory (/cygdrive/c/users/bin).

No. I get the same error.

Another data point: The same error occurs also with:

   exec my-shell-script

and again, the command

   exec sh my-shell-script

works fine.
