PERL's Encode::Byte is being flagged by AVGfree as WIN32/PolyCrypt anyonelse

It wouldn't be the first time an anti-virus product gave a false
positive. Recently AVG started to report the Python Windows installer as
a virus, which gave a few people a short sharp shock. But they did fix
their signatures very quickly once informed of the position.
